effective learning methods and ensure individual learning progress. We teach German for work, study and everyday life.
The course levels are designed according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).

Can understand and use familiar everyday expressions and very basic phrases aimed at the satisfaction of needs of a specific nature.

Basic knowledge
Can understand sentences and frequently used expressions related to areas of most immediate relevance (e.g. personal and family information, shopping, work, local area).

Advanced language usage
Can understand the main points of clear standard speech on familiar matters regularly encountered in work, school, leisure time, etc. Can cope with most situations likely to arise whilst travelling in an area where the language is spoken.

Independent language use
Can understand the main ideas of complex texts on both concrete and abstract topics; can also understand technical discussions in his/her own area of expertise. Can communicate so spontaneously and fluently that a normal conversation with native speakers is easily possible without much effort on either side.

Fortgeschrittene Sprachverwendung
Auf dieser Stufe erwerben die Lernenden fortgeschrittene Kenntnisse in Wortschatz und Grammatik der deutschen Sprache. Die Lernenden sind in der Lage, sich spontan und fließend auszudrücken und die Sprache in nahezu allen Situationen flexibel und wirksam einzusetzen.

The course description
The language courses at the BERGMANN educational institute are offered at five different levels, which correspond to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages . In addition to the grammatical basics of the German language, the courses also teach how to use it practically at work, at university and in everyday life. The lessons are based on carefully selected materials and are tailored to the needs of the respective learning group.
